Support Grieving Son After Tragic Accident
Hello, my name is Sennieal Crutchfield. I am setting up a GoFund Me account to assist with fundraising on behalf of my cousin Sheila Gibson's son. Shelia was fatally hit and struck by a car driven by an 18-year-old, according to the news reports. The driver struck her at such a force that the vehicle's windshield was badly damaged, leaving a gaping hold in the windshield. The front of the vehicle's bumper was torn off.

On July 9, 2021, Palmdale California Sheriff's Department responded to a motor vehicle collision. As a result of the collision, my cousin Sheila Gibson was hit and killed. Her son tried contacting his mother on Thursday, July 8, to check on her well-being. When he was unable to reach her, he immediately began to worry. It wasn't until Wednesday, July 14 that he would receive a call from the Los Angeles Coroners Department notifying him, that his mother was struck and killed in a head-on collision while walking in Palmdale, CA. Shelia was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the accident. Because of the damage inflicted on her body, her son is unable to see his mother and say goodbye for the last time. Sheila had an ever-positive attitude towards life and the brightest smile, touching the hearts of everyone she met. She was hard-working and selfless.
Sheila has only one immediate family member left, her son James Carter, who is trying to process the tragic news of his mother's demise, all while longing to see her one last time. He intends to bury her next to her youngest son. We request donations for funeral expenses and to provide financial support for the grieving family members.
