On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, our family heard the news that no family would ever want to hear. My stepdad, P.D (Paul) Julien, had gotten in a tragic car accident 35 kilometers from his home in Bonnyville, AB, where he was pronounced dead on the scene. We have a big family with five kids- my little brother is 12 years old and had plans to golf with his dad this Father's Day. P.D was 46 years old and had no life insurance or will, leaving our family with just his memory. He was a father, grandpa, uncle, a skilled welder, and we are all devastated by his loss. Being a part of our family for 14 years, there is no doubt about his impact on all of us, shaping us into the people we are today. My mom lives on low-income support and has continuously encouraged us to grow and pursue our dreams. Now, it's just her and Tyrese at home. Tyrese is a very smart kid who has the potential to graduate early and go to college. I want to help secure his bright future in college, to help buy him new clothes as he grows up, and to support him in a way that P.D would have if he were still here. I am asking for the community's help to ensure that Tyrese grows into a strong independent boy and to not have financial hardship as the limiting factor for his success.
