Our sweet Greyson’s life changed unexpectedly just a few weeks ago.
After experiencing uncontrolled bleeding and severe bruising, Greyson was admitted to CHKD, where doctors discovered that all of his blood counts were dangerously low. His platelet count, which should normally be between 150,000 and 300,000, was just 2,000. Since then, he has endured countless hospital visits, blood draws, platelet transfusions, red blood cell transfusions, medications, and procedures as doctors worked to find answers and keep him stable.
Today, Greyson was formally diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia, a rare and serious bone marrow failure disorder. The only curative treatment is a stem cell transplant.
In the midst of this heartbreaking diagnosis, we received a blessing: Greyson’s younger brother, Emmett, is a match and will be his stem cell donor.
The road ahead will not be easy. Greyson and his family will need to relocate to Duke University Hospital for approximately three months while he undergoes his transplant and recovery. During this time, they will face significant expenses including travel, gas, meals, lodging-related costs, and the everyday expenses of maintaining life both at Duke and back home.
Anyone who knows Greyson knows what a special little boy he is. He is brave, strong, and so deeply loved by his family and everyone around him. Right now, we want his parents to focus on one thing: helping their son heal.
We are asking for any support you can give, whether through a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow this family to focus on what matters most—getting our sweet boy healthy again.
Thank you for standing with Greyson, Emmett, and their family during this difficult journey. We appreciate your love, support, and prayers more than words can express.
