Support Gretchen Baer's Kamala Harris Art Car

Hi everybody, I want to make a Kamala Harris art car, and I believe I'm just the person to do it! For those who don't know me, I'm an artist best known for my work with kids across the Mexican border, and for my Hillary Clinton art car, better known as "The Hillcar", which was a grassroots part of Hillary's campaign in 2008 and 2016. My painted, decorated Hillcar was a big hit all over the country. It brought smiles to people of all walks of life and political affiliations. It appeared in practically every National news source from The New York Times to National Geographic!

After the heartbreak of 2016, I never thought I would make another politically-themed art car again. But here I am, inspired by Kamala! I'm a fast painter and I can create a painted/beaded Kamala Car in a matter of weeks. But I need your help financing it.

I will donate my only car, a 2003 Hyundai Sonata, for the canvas of this rolling creation. I will also donate much of my mother's bead collection to make this art car sparkle. I will need about $6000 to make this happen. Here is where your donations will go...

$2000 for art supplies ( One Shot sign-painters paint is needed and is very expensive), plus adhesives, respirators, etc.

$2000 as an artist stipend to help me out while I give this project everything I've got.

$2000 for travel expenses, gas, car repair, hotels etc.

Once funding is obtained, I'll hit the ground running. I will have the Kamala Car finished and on the road by mid-September. I will focus mainly on getting out the vote in Arizona, with a special emphasis on Latino and women voters. I will travel to other states whenever possible. Democratic Super Volunteer John West, will help provide printed campaign materials to hand out, as well as ways for people to register to vote.

If you donate $100, I will write your name on the car. If you donate $500, I will make you a piece of Kamala art, and write your name on the car. If you donate $1000, I will write your name on the car, make you a piece of Kamala Art, and create a tiny Kamala art car just for you. Never before has so much been at stake. It's time we work together to elect the first female President of the United States!
