Support Greg's Stroke Recovery Journey

Story

On the evening of July 25th we called 911 as my father, Greg was unable to speak and move his left side. He was then taken by ambulance to a local hospital where they then airlifted him to the university of iowa for an emergency thrombectomy. Unfortunately, the attempt to remove the clots was unsuccessful. He was then transferred to the surgical neuro icu for close observation and to determine deficits from there. After about 4/5 days in SNICU he was moved to the “regular” neuro floor where they determined he would be able to get released to inpatient intense rehab. After about 21 days he was finally able to go home on friday, August 23rd. He’s currently starting in home therapy. As he’s already made so much progress considering (and very happy to be home) there are still lots of accommodations and adjustments that we’re making and will continue to be making to our lives. This gofundme is to help with all of the unexpected expenses that come with life after stroke for both my father and family. Thank you so much to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers and donations!
