On Halloween day, my world turned upside down. I was diagnosed with metastatic liver and heart cancer, stage 4 and inoperable. One moment I was working and enjoying life, and the next, I was facing a reality I never expected. We're not really prepared for news like this—no one tells you much about aging and mortality until it lands in your lap. The prognosis I was given ranges from 90 days to a year and a half, but even that information feels uncertain and hard to trust. Navigating this new reality and trying to get answers has been an odyssey in itself.

My primary concern right now is being able to cover my living expenses. The funds I'm hoping to raise will help keep me in the place I call home and give me the stability I need to put up the best fight possible. I want to focus on my well-being and make the most of the time I have, without the added stress of financial insecurity.

The help I'm asking for is not only financial. I'm literally throwing myself into an abyss, dependent on the kindness of strangers.
