On Saturday the 17th August, Greg Olley Gateshead FC’s captain suffered a serious injury which has left him with broken leg, dislocated ankle and ligaments all ruptured.

We are a family that supports Gateshead FC, and our two son's Hugo and Arthur have got to know Greg Olley really well over the last couple of years and have created a special bond. They have asked how we can support him over the next coming months.

After speaking to many football fan's, we are wanting to set up this Go Fund Me page. The main reason is to support our captain Greg Olley who stayed with Gateshead FC during its darkest days and now it’s time as fans we support our Captain in his toughest moment. We are simply wanting to support Greg and ensure any worries he has are taken care of.

We have set the target at £10,000 as a minimum to support Greg over the next few months in his long-term recovery.

The funds will be transferred directly to Greg Olley.
