Help Greg Fight Cancer for the Third Time
Greg is facing his third battle with a rare and aggressive form of squamous cell carcinoma on the right side of his face. His journey began eight years ago, continued with a recurrence in October 2024, and now again in 2025.
On October 6, Greg underwent extensive surgery to remove an 8 cm tumor. While doctors were able to remove most of it, some cancerous tissue remains. He received a second skin graft from his leg to his face, and the procedure resulted in nerve damage causing facial palsy and dysphagia — making it difficult to move facial muscles and swallow. A portion of his jaw bone was removed due to the tumor wrapped around it. He’s also unable to blink without a weight implanted in his eyelid, which scratched his cornea and required another surgery on November 5. His eye is now partially sewn shut to allow healing.
Greg is now beginning an intensive 8-week treatment of radiation and chemotherapy — radiation five days a week, chemotherapy once a week — requiring a 60-mile round trip each day. Since his re-diagnosis in late June, Greg has been unable to work due to pain and treatment demands. He’s been out of work since early September and, due to a pre-existing condition clause, is not eligible for Short Term Disability. His savings are depleted, his vehicle remains unrepaired, and medical bills are mounting.
Despite these challenges, Greg’s spirit remains strong. His wit, love for life, and devotion to family and friends continue to shine through. He dreams of returning to his favorite activities — bowling and golf — in the coming year.
We’re asking for your help to support Greg through this difficult time. Your donation will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation to treatment, and basic living costs. Any amount helps — and if you’re unable to give, please consider sharing his story or keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
With love, Greg’s family and friends
