Help Greg Kaidanov Defend Himself Against Fair Fencing Organization (FFO)

In December of 2024, Charles Wang, Marianne McInerney, and Fair Fencing Organization (FFO) filed a $4 million SLAPP lawsuit against me in Fairfax County Circuit Court because I asked questions about the FFO on a USA Fencing Facebook group discussion.

FFO took my questions, twisted my words (and indeed added words of their own!), and claimed in their Complaint (CL-2024-0017782) that I made a series of false and defamatory statements. I did not. My questions were based, in part, on articles I had read about FFO’s leadership, including:

I am a dedicated fencing coach, co-owner of Nova Fencing and Archery Club, and am now facing a multimillion-dollar Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP). This frivolous lawsuit is an attempt to silence any criticism of FFO and its role in the fencing community.

I have been a part of the fencing community for years. I have dedicated my life to coaching and mentoring young athletes. The son of the late, great Emik Kaidanov, my passion for the sport and commitment to fairness and transparency are well known throughout the fencing community.
