In the early morning hours of December 8, 2025, Justine Dawson, 60, and her daughter Nila Dawson, 20, were taken from this world far too soon in a tragic event that no family should ever have to endure. Their loss has forever changed the life of Greg Dawson and left an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.

Justine devoted her life to caring for others. She was a compassionate nurse at the Dialysis Clinic in Billings, Montana, where she was deeply loved by her patients and colleagues. Above all, she was a devoted wife and loving mother who centered her life around family and service.

Nila was an only child with a bright, generous spirit and a promising future ahead. A student at Rocky Mountain College, she was studying to become a physician assistant, inspired by the same desire to help others that defined her mother’s life.

As Greg grieves the sudden loss of his wife and daughter, he is also recovering from multiple gunshot wounds sustained that morning. He faces a long road to physical recovery while navigating unimaginable emotional pain.

This fundraiser has been created to help support Greg during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will help cover funeral expenses for Justine and Nila, as well as medical bills related to Greg’s recovery, allowing him to focus on healing without added financial strain.
