Hi, it is very hard for our family to ask for help. On behalf of my sister and brother in love - Andrea and Gregory, I am starting this go fund me . This year they have suffered numerous medical emergencies , particularly Greg. In June , he was admitted into the hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis and almost died . He had to have another toe amputated and spent all of the summer in either the hospital or rehab. We thought we were on the road to recovery, when in October , he was admitted once again for a large infection on his “good” foot. It was deemed that he had to have another amputation- this time from the knee down . This has been life changing because Greg has been the primary caregiver for Andrea who has been immobile for several years due to her progressive multiple sclerosis . Anyone who knows Greg, knows that he is the first one to help anyone in need . If you call, he’d be right there. He is going through such mental anguish because he feels helpless that he can’t take care of Andrea .

Because of these medical episodes, Andrea and Greg had to spend a large amount of money renovating both bathrooms in their homes to be handicap accessible . It was a huge but necessary undertaking. For now, they are both wheelchair bound . Greg has to wait a minimum of 6 months to get fitted for a prosthetic . The hope is that once he has the prosthetic , he can have a more normal life.

Last week, just as Greg was released from the hospital for a second revision surgery on the stump, their outside chair life stopped working. Andrea called in for a repair and it was deemed unfixable because the motor has blown. The price tag to replace is $6500 of which they don’t have . They are both on a fixed income. Sarah stopped working to care for them and the boys are doing all they can both physically and financially. This is a vital need for them because as of right now they are trapped in the house. The only way Greg can get to crucial appointments is if a strong man is available to help carry him down the steps to meet Access- a- ride . This is not safe and it worries all of us all the time .

if I still have your attention, thank you for reading all the way through. I know this is a hard time for most every one so if you can’t donate, we would appreciate you sharing this on your social media platforms. We also welcome prayers and good vibes .

Thank you on behalf of the Saunders family.
