WEB SERIES: JOB!!!

LOGLINE: A Perfectly Normal Employee works at their Perfectly Normal Job. Then, strange jam-related disasters start to happen outside.

JOB!!! is a short, absurdist web series inspired by the experience of doing banal office jobs through the pandemic, natural disasters caused by climate change, the rise of right-wing authoritarianism, and the many other *action-packed and exciting experiences* of our times!

Like a lot of us right now, our main character Gerry is struggling to achieve an ideal work/life/existential horror balance. Will they pull themselves up by their bootstraps before receiving a bad performance review and/or dying in boiling preserves?

Think of it as Severance on shrooms. Or Franz Kafka's The Office.

The plan is to release it in full online in 2026.

PRODUCTION

Me and my producer Camille Jackson plan to shoot the series this October, starring some amazing actors, some of whom you may know and love (Ben Kemper from Boise, Idaho?! Maggie Schenk from Madison, Wisconsin????!!!)

As students in the film MFA program at DePaul University, we have a lot covered in the way of gear and crew. But we still need funds to pay labor, feed our crew, make googas and gizmos for our set, and rent a location.
