**After unimaginable suffering, Jack needs immediate, life saving surgery. Please help!**

This is Jack, affectionately known as Jack Rubble—a 6-month-old puppy with a heart of gold and a spirit that refuses to quit.

Jack was hit by a car and brought to a crowded county shelter in Southern California. He had a broken back leg (in two places), a fractured elbow, and fluid in his lungs. Despite "squealing in pain," according to his medical notes, Jack sat in the shelter—untreated—for three excruciating weeks.

Just when it seemed no one would step up, Greendog Foundation saved his life. They pulled Jack from the red list and rushed him into emergency care. Today, he is undergoing surgery at Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Tustin, CA. The hope is to plate his back leg—but if the damage is too severe, amputation may be necessary.

His medical costs will exceed $8,000, and Greendog needs our help to cover his lifesaving care.

Despite all he’s been through, Jack is unbelievably sweet, gentle, and full of love. He leans in for cuddles, wags his tail, and just wants to be near people. He’ll spend the next few months healing in a loving medical foster home—and when he’s ready, he’ll be looking for a forever family.
