Many of you have asked how you can help. I’ve had a lot of people reach out privately about supporting with medical expenses. I decided to create this for anyone who feels led to contribute.
Last week, while preparing for my next professional pickleball tournament, my life changed overnight.
A day after training, I suffered a stroke.
I suddenly lost my speech and couldn’t form sentences. I was rushed to the emergency room, where an intense series of tests, scans, and procedures followed. Doctors later confirmed that I had suffered two strokes.
Over the next several days, I underwent multiple CT scans, MRIs, a lumbar puncture, and a cerebral angiogram, an invasive procedure where doctors accessed an artery through my groin to examine the blood vessels in my brain. It was one of the most frightening experiences of my life. In the end, I was diagnosed with RCVS (reversible cerebral vasodilation syndrome) which is reversible and gives me lot of hope.
By the grace of God, and thanks to incredible doctors and nurses, I am here. My speech is still recovering, and I am recovering.
However, as someone without health insurance, this emergency hospitalization, including nearly a week admitted, advanced imaging, neurological care, and specialized procedures has resulted in significant medical bills.
If you feel led to support, any contribution will go directly toward:
• Hospital and specialist bills
• Follow-up neurological care
• Recovery-related expenses
• Ongoing monitoring and treatment
If you’re unable to give, your prayers, messages, and encouragement mean just as much to me.
This experience tested me mentally and physically in ways I never imagined. But I am grateful, I am recovering, and I am determined to return stronger both on and off the court.
Thank you for standing with me.
Stronger comeback loading.
