Support Grayson's Heart Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Grayson Zysset was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a condition where the left side of the heart is underdeveloped. This meant from day one, Grayson’s heart was only working at half capacity. At just two days old, he underwent his first open-heart surgery. Doctors were able to reroute blood flow so the right side of his heart could pump blood to his entire body. Six months later, he had his second open-heart surgery to help his heart grow along with him.
Earlier this year, Grayson was admitted to Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver. He spent more than a month there waiting for a heart transplant while his mom stayed by his side. The rest of his family traveled to be with as much as possible.
On Friday, April 18th, the Zysset family got the news they had been waiting for. After 1,328 days on the transplant list, Grayson was matched with a donor. He had a successful surgery on Easter Sunday. There were some setbacks after surgery, but Grayson is now beginning the long recovery process that will hopefully help him live a more normal life.
We’re raising funds to help the Zysset family cover the costs of extended hospital stays, travel, time away from work, and ongoing care. Every donation will go directly to the family to support them through this next phase.
If you’re unable to give financially, simply sharing the link to this page can make a big difference. Your support in any form means the world.
Thank you for keeping Grayson and the Zysset family in your thoughts and prayers.
