I’m creating this fundraiser for my dear friend, Lauren and her family, whose sweet 2-year-old daughter, Graylee, has been bravely fighting epilepsy.
Graylee is such a bright, joyful little girl. She loves Peppa Pig, playing outside, singing songs, cuddling her brother and sister and she has a smile that lights up every room she’s in. But behind that smile, her tiny body is enduring challenges far bigger than any toddler should face.
Recently, Graylee was diagnosed with epilepsy after a terrifying night in March when she went into cardiac arrest following her first seizure. Since then, she and her parents have been in and out of hospitals, undergoing long EEGs, starting new medications, and facing the uncertainty of what each day will bring. Watching a child go through this is heartbreaking, and the emotional and financial toll on the family has been enormous.
Between neurology appointments, hospital stays, ongoing tests, medications, and taking unpaid leave from work, the financial strain has to be overwhelming.
I know how strong and loving this family is, and I also know they would never ask for help themselves. That’s why I’m asking for them. This GoFundMe will go directly toward:
• Medical bills and hospital expenses
• Medications and therapies not covered by insurance
• Travel to specialists when needed
• Allowing her parents to focus on Graylee instead of worrying about lost wages and mounting bills
If you’re able to donate, please know that every dollar will make a difference in Graylee’s fight. If you can’t give financially, sharing her story helps just as much.
Lauren and her family are some of the most caring, selfless people I know, and right now, they need their community to rally behind them. They are not the type to ever ask for help but they would give the shirt off their back to someone in need and anyone who knows them , knows that. Let’s come together to give Graylee the support she deserves and help lighten the load this family is carrying.
Thank you so much for your kindness, prayers, and support.
