Just like us. At Grassroots Magazine, we are the first nonprofit news outlet 100% committed to educating New Yorkers on grassroots movements and creating a web of knowledge about this vital space.
We will:
- Provide a platform that connects grassroots movements in New York City—a space where grassroots groups can learn from each other.
- Publish stories that hold institutions of power accountable by covering the grassroots organizations with this shared goal.
- Be the first to update New Yorkers on the impact and development of these organizations, cover recent changes in the space, and hold movements accountable when they err.
- Highlight what our local government is doing to help these organizations flourish, what they could be doing better, and what harm that they may be inflicting on grassroots movements and local communities.
- Cover anything and everything “grassroots” in the five boroughs.
We hope to use your donations to get this publication off the ground, including: content management, website maintenance, domain purchase, equipment purchase, and freelance budget.
