The Media Co-op has been publishing grassroots journalism online in the Canadian context for more than a decade and a half. Over the last few years, we have been engaged in a process of rebuilding our capacity and expanding our reach. We are all set to move farther and faster, and we need your support!

Last year, we brought you stories about grassroots Secwépemc resistance to the Trans Mountain pipeline, destructive investment by Canadian banks in Brazil, unrelenting anti-Black and anti-Indigenous police violence in Canada, food security, and much more – and we are eager to build on that through 2023.

There are lots of ways that you can support our work, including through your time and skills . And right now we are looking to raise $2500. That money will be used to pay writers and our part-time staff person, and to continue our work to expand The Media Co-op's capacity.
