I'm raising money on behalf of Ilford CCC, a community cricket club based at Barkingside Recreation Ground in East London.
ICCC has been part of the local community since 1920. For over a century, we've welcomed cricketers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Our players range from 12-year-olds picking up a bat for the first time to over-70s who've been playing the game their whole lives.
We run four adult teams competing in local leagues, alongside youth training and development programmes. We're a small, volunteer-run club with a big heart.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Like most grassroots cricket clubs, we operate on limited resources. Membership fees cover the basics, but there's never much left over for the improvements that would really make a difference.
We want to invest in:
- Training equipment for junior and senior players
- Coaching aids to help develop the next generation
- General improvements around the club
- Building towards bigger projects like training nets and digital scoreboards
Every pound raised goes directly into the club. No salaries, no overheads, just cricket.
WHY IT MATTERS
Grassroots sport is the foundation of healthy communities. Cricket brings people together across generations and backgrounds. In a diverse borough like Redbridge, that matters more than ever.
When you support ICCC, you're helping a 12-year-old discover a love of cricket. You're giving a retired teacher somewhere to stay active and connected. You're keeping a 105-year-old community institution alive and thriving.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Any donation, large or small, makes a real difference. If you can't donate, please share this page with anyone who believes in the power of grassroots sport.
All funds raised will be transferred directly to ICCC.
Thank you for supporting community cricket in Barkingside.
Up the ICCC!
