Support Grass Yard for Tacoma Pierce Shelter Dogs

Hello, my name is Elizabeth. I live with my family in Spanaway, WA. My family and I have had, and continue to have, animals that were and are adopted from the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. Without the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society or any humane society, animals would suffer from homelessness, starvation, and not being able to receive medicine for their health. Just like us humans, animals need the above essentials to survive, and they deserve it. The Tacoma and Pierce County Humane Society are heroes. Both people who work and volunteer there are wonderful. This shelter, just like any shelter for both humans and animals, always could use support, whether it would be funds or volunteers. When I do make a trip there, I notice the dogs don't have access to grass beneath their feet (to enjoy the outside and to go to the bathroom). They have access to only dirt up on a hill that both workers and dogs have to climb. It is my hope that maybe someday there could be a fenced yard with grass for the dogs. I understand this won't happen overnight, but with support financially from lovely donations, maybe this could be the first step towards helping both people and animals at this shelter.
