Support Grant Hicks' family

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, Grant Harold Hicks suddenly experienced a stroke that sadly led to his passing on Tuesday, September 7. As was his typical activity in the fall, he was preparing to head out with his kids that day to sell popcorn for Nolan and Briar's Scout group. Fortunately, Grant's family and many of his closest friends were able to visit him in the hospital before his passing despite the very sudden and life-threatening nature of the situation.

Grant's wife, Danielle, remained close by his side working hard to keep the family informed and discussing the important decisions that needed to be made with his doctors and nurses. As a nurse herself, she has been grateful for the care that he received and the thoughtful nurses working with him. Danielle will continue to raise their three children - currently in elementary through high school - with Grant watching over them.

Grant's passing is a sudden, heart-wrenching loss for his parents, his three sisters, three brother in-laws and his six nieces and nephews who were used to seeing and talking to him every week as well as for his many extended family members and friends. Grant was someone you could always count on to keep the conversation interesting and engaging.

Please consider contributing to this fundraising effort to support Danielle as well as Grant's three children as they have to transition into a completely new life. Grant's passing came all too soon and his family can use our support now to aid in this transition and help to alleviate the weight of financial decisions to come.
