My grandson Nicholas Berry was the gun shot victim, of the Austin Texas Central library shooting, on Saturday 10/25/2025

Due to the damage the bullet caused when it entered his right hand, which shattered a large bone and then ripped through his right thigh. Nic will not be able to work for an extended period of time.

My grandson has been working to overcoming obstacles and bad luck in his life. Nic holds his Class A Commercial Driver’s license and became a certified power Lineman First Responders, while attending an online business school. I was so proud of him when he accomplished the goal, of climbing the tallest point of Arizona, Humphreys Peak 12,635’ mountain this past September 2025.

Nic, has been adjusting since the shooting, learning how to use his left hand, while the right hand heals, in order for the future surgery, to replace the bone. He did not have any insurance and will need help with medical, living expenses and physical therapy.
