Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved grandfather was the victim of a tragic hit-and-run accident on August 7th. He was rushed to the ICU at Mount Vernon Hospital and, due to the severity of his condition, transferred that same day to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he remained under care. He passed away, August 15th, on his birthday, leaving us with cherished memories of his life and love.

Unfortunately, we are faced with one of the most challenging moments in our lives. Our focus is now on honoring our grandfather’s final wish, to return to Mexico, the place he has always called home, and be surrounded by the love and comfort of his roots.

Our grandpa is a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a dear friend to many. His gentle heart and unwavering love have touched the lives of many, and now we humbly ask for your help during this time of need.

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of transferring him home to Mexico, along with the associated medical expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to honoring his final wish and laying him to rest in the place he loved most.

Queridos amigos, familiares y personas buenas,

Con mucho dolor queremos contarles que nuestro querido abuelo fue víctima de un trágico accidente de atropello y fuga hace unos días. Lo llevaron de inmediato a la UCI del Hospital de Mount Vernon y, por la gravedad de su estado, lo trasladaron ese mismo día al Harborview Medical Center en Seattle, donde estuvo bajo cuidado desde el 7 de agosto. Él falleció esta mañana, 15 de agosto, en su cumpleaños, dejándonos recuerdos muy especiales de su vida y su amor.

Este es uno de los momentos más difíciles para nuestra familia. Ahora nuestro enfoque está en cumplir su último deseo: regresar a México, el lugar que siempre llamó hogar, y estar cerca de sus raíces y el cariño de su tierra.

Nuestro abuelo fue un padre amoroso, un abuelo orgulloso y un amigo querido por muchos. Su corazón y su amor tocaron la vida de muchas personas, y ahora necesitamos su ayuda en este momento.

Estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir los gastos de trasladarlo a México, junto con los gastos médicos. Cada donación, grande o pequeña, nos acerca a cumplir su último deseo y darle descanso en el lugar que más amaba.
