A Love Story Facing Goodbye This Holiday Season
Forty-nine years ago, my grandparents met, fell in love, and were married within two weeks. People thought they were crazy — but nearly five decades later, their love has endured every storm.
They survived colon cancer together ten years ago, side by side. We believed the worst was behind them.
This holiday season, our family is facing unimaginable heartbreak.
My grandma is currently fighting breast cancer. While she was in surgery, my grandpa was rushed to the hospital with double pneumonia and sepsis. His body is now shutting down. He has been placed on hospice, and doctors have told us we may only have days to a week or two left with him.
As families everywhere gather to celebrate the holidays, we are preparing to say goodbye.
There are no funeral arrangements or burial plot in place, and medical bills are rapidly piling up. I have already spent thousands of dollars out of my own pocket, but I can no longer do this alone.
We are urgently asking for help with funeral costs and medical expenses so my grandpa can be laid to rest with dignity and our family isn’t left in devastating debt. Any donation or share means more than words can express.
Thank you for your prayers, kindness, and support during the most painful season of our lives.
