Hi, my name is Alexis, and I’m creating this GoFundMe page for my grandpa. On February 26, 2025, he suffered a terrible fall that resulted in a serious spinal cord injury. He underwent surgery and is currently in a rehab facility, but he’s expected to be discharged and sent home within the next week or so. Unfortunately, insurance isn’t covering everything he needs. My granny is his only caregiver, and the upcoming transition home will come with many unexpected expenses. We’re raising funds to help cover, 24-hour in-home healthcare and nursing support, home aid services, physical therapy, and the equipment he'll need to adjust to a new way of living, transportation to and from doctor’s appointments (they live in the mountains, and most appointments are far away in the city) and, any additional costs that may come up as my granny supports his recovery. My grandpa is a retired steamfitter, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He’s never asked for anything, he is always the one giving and working hard for his family. Now, he needs our help.
