Hi. I'm a 66-year-old single mom/single grandmother. I have been raising my two grandchildren since birth. My grandson will be 15 years old in March, and my 1 year old granddaughter. I have been self-employed for 25 years as a travel advisor, but the cost of raising two grandchildren, paying a mortgage and car payments, along with insurance and all other expenses, has forced me to literally get by monthly.

Three weeks ago, my daughter had a bad car crash in my vehicle and totaled it. A driver did not see her turning into a parking lot and plowed into her, and in turn, into another vehicle. She got beat up a bit, but thankfully is alive to tell the tale. The difficult issue is that I had put a sizeable down payment on my vehicle over three years ago and was making payments to this date. My car and the shortfall were gratefully covered by insurance; however, I no longer have any funds for a down payment as I need in order to get a car loan.

This family desperately needs help to put us into another vehicle as this grandmother has health issues and needs a safe and reliable family car.
