Hi, my name is Amanda and this is my grandma, Mona Peters. She is an active member of The Eagles Club and has sat on the Auxiliary Board for over 25 years. She also worked for RCAS transportation for Special Needs Kids for the past 12 years until she got sick back in March 2025. She was diagnosed with kidney failure and stage four colon cancer. She's been putting up a good fight, so good she doesn't have to do dialysis anymore. Even though the cancer has spread to the walls of her stomach, she's still fighting. But she keeps on getting different infections. After they get rid of one, they find another. She's going to be moving to hospice care, but her health insurance doesn't cover the whole cost. We will have to pay $350 a day. She is the best grandma/great grandma anyone could ask for. She is always there to help whenever we call on her.
