Help us support Grandma Helen as she works to rebuild the home where she has lovingly raised three generations. For over 30 years, this house has been a place of warmth, memories, and love. Now, it’s been tragically damaged by a fire, the cause of which remains unknown. The fire is believed to have started on the front side of the house, leaving a trail of devastation.

Grandma Helen has always been there for us, and now she needs us. Unfortunately, she no longer has home insurance after Allstate terminated her policy when she tried to file a claim for her roof. Despite her years of loyalty and never having used her insurance before, her claim was denied. The irony of their slogan, “You’re in good hands,” has never felt more painful.

In this challenging time, we are deeply grateful to the American Red Cross for providing essential resources and support. Their kindness reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is light.

We’re holding on to hope, grateful that the worst did not happen and that Grandma Helen is safe. A structural assessment of the house has given us a reason to believe it can be restored, but the road ahead is long and costly. Our immediate needs include plywood to board up windows and doors, and dumpsters to clear out the debris.
