Lewis & Deedee here. We are faced with a tragic and urgent need for our 4 year old dachshund, Gracie. Gracie hurt her back yesterday afternoon and has lost the ability to use her back legs. She has a herniated disc and will need surgery soon to have the best chance of a full recovery (24-48 hours after the injury) to avoid being paralyzed . The surgery center has quoted the minimum cost of surgery is $7,000.00 and maximum is $8,000.00. The minimum has to be paid up front before they will do the surgery. Sounds cold, but it is the industry standard.

We have spent our lives helping and supporting friends and strangers in need and will continue to do so. But for now, we need help so we can see our Gracie able to walk again.
