Gracie is my daughter, and she has been bravely facing non epileptic FND seizures. Over the past months, her condition has required constant care and countless appointments, which led me to lose my job so I could be there for her every step of the way. As a parent, all I want is to give Gracie the best chance at a happy, healthy life, and right now, that means finding new ways to support her through these challenges.
In addition to her seizures, Gracie also has severe anxiety, sensory processing disorder, unspecified neurodevelopment disorder, and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder. She attends counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, space therapy, and is currently awaiting ABA therapy. This was my last resort because I have always been an independent mother and have always worked. Losing my job was traumatic and many sacrifices have had to be made since this happened, but sometimes everyone needs help and I know this was God's plan. Each day brings new hurdles, but Gracie continues to show incredible strength and resilience.
One of the most promising ways to help Gracie is by getting her a service dog. A service dog would not only provide her with much-needed emotional support, but could also sense when a seizure is coming on and be there to comfort and assist her during those difficult moments. The service dog would also help Gracie manage her anxiety and sensory challenges, offering comfort and stability during therapy and daily life. This kind of support could make a world of difference in her daily life, giving her more independence and peace of mind.
Any donations made would be a major appreciation for her. I am trying to help her every way possible and to get them under control. Thank you for considering donating to help Gracie. Your kindness and support mean more to us than words can express.
