Support Gracie's Fashion Study in Florence

Hello. My name is Gracie F., and I am a senior at Kent State University majoring in Fashion Design. As part of the fashion school, Kent State University requires all undergraduates to complete a study-away experience before graduation. This study-away opportunity will allow me to hone my professional skills and expand my creative vision through this immersive industry experience.

I will be traveling to Florence, Italy to study during the Spring 2025 semester. Florence is not only a cultural and historical hub but also a global leader in the fashion industry, offering me the chance to learn from the best and gain firsthand experience in an international setting. This opportunity will help me build the skills I need to pursue a career where fashion, communication, and storytelling intersect.

As a dedicated fashion student, this opportunity will allow me to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and immerse myself in the latest fashion and textile trends. During this adventure, I will have the incredible chance to explore the fashion capitals of the world — London, Paris, and Milan — experiencing firsthand the epicenter of global style and innovation. Spending the summer studying fashion design in Florence would be yet another empowering step towards her lifelong pursuit of becoming a fashion designer.

However, this program comes with significant costs, and I have exhausted all funding options at my institution. Despite scholarships, a part-time job, and my savings, I still need additional funds to make this journey possible.
