If you know me, you know just how much Gracie Anne means to me. She’s been by my side for 12 wonderful years, and I would do anything for her. We’ve been fortunate - her health has been great, with very few vet visits over the years.
Since she was a puppy, Gracie has had a small, pea-sized lump on her vulva. It stayed the same size for most of her life and never caused any problems. About two years ago, it grew to the size of a golf ball. I took her to the vet, and because of her age and the slow growth, they felt it wasn’t likely malignant. We agreed to manage it since it wasn’t impacting on her quality of life.
But in the past six weeks, three new nodules have appeared. Gracie began licking the area, which led to ulceration. We've been doing our best at home to keep the area clean and protected, but I knew it was time to seek a second opinion.
We visited Healthy Pets Urgent Care, and the team there was wonderful. After reviewing her case and discussing our options, we’ve decided that surgery is the best path forward. Thankfully, her bloodwork came back great - exactly what we needed to move ahead safely. The vet even said Gracie was one of the sweetest and best-behaved dogs he’d seen that day. Her surgery is now scheduled for June 20th.
It’s hard for me to ask for help—I’ve always tried to handle things on my own. But the truth is, I can’t do this alone. The surgery and care will cost $1,139.12, and I’m reaching out for any support you may be able to offer to help cover the cost.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read Gracie’s story. I’m incredibly grateful for your love and support - and I know Gracie Anne is too.
