Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my story. I’m starting this GoFundMe because I’ve been struggling to support myself, and I’ve reached a point where I can no longer manage on my own. For several years, I’ve been dealing with ongoing health issues while trying to work at the same time. In recent years, my illnesses have made it increasingly difficult to keep up with my basic living expenses. I’ve reached out to organizations and programs for assistance, but many of them require qualifications I don’t meet — such as having children or earning below a certain income threshold. Despite working, my medical appointments, treatments, and medications have created financial challenges that I can no longer carry alone. I’m exploring options like moving in with family or taking in a roommate, but these changes take time to arrange. In the meantime, I’m asking for help to stay afloat.
As many of you know, I am an educator with a license in music. Unfortunately, music teaching positions are very limited — often only one per elementary school and a handful per district — which makes finding steady work extremely challenging. To increase my opportunities, I’m working toward earning an endorsement in Elementary Education so I can teach in a general classroom. This path will open more doors for stable employment, but it will take another year or two to complete.
I’m asking for your help — no matter the amount — to bridge the gap while I navigate my health, my finances, and my next steps in education. Your support will help me cover essential expenses, stay in my home, and focus on healing and rebuilding my stability. Thank you for taking the time to read and share my story. Your support brings me one step closer to stability and healing.
