Help Grace Move to Safe & Accessible Housing
Hi, my name is Grace, and I’m reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt request. I’m currently living in a dangerous and unstable environment, and I desperately need to move into a safer, more accessible apartment for my health, safety, and well-being.
I live with multiple chronic and disabling health conditions, including POTS, EDS, Autism, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, nerve damage, and I’m currently in remission from cancer. I rely on mobility aids like a wheelchair, leg braces, and a cane to get around, and I am unable to work due to my medical conditions. I’ve been fighting to receive disability benefits for nearly four years, and while I’m working with an attorney, it could still take many more months before any support comes through — if it does at all.
Right now, I live over an hour away from my doctors and specialists, making it nearly impossible to get the regular treatments and therapies I need. On top of that, my current housing situation is not only physically unsuitable for someone with my needs — it’s unsafe.
The apartment we’re trying to get is the closest we’ve ever been to having a real chance at safe, stable housing. It’s closer to my doctors, and most importantly, it’s somewhere I can begin to heal and live with dignity. I’m trying to raise $2,000 — enough to cover a couple months' rent and get us moved in. Every dollar will go toward our relocation and essentials for a fresh start.
This would mean safety for me, my loving partners, and my emotional support animals (my cats, who are truly my babies). Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page can make a huge difference. Every little bit of help counts and brings us closer to finally feeling safe and supported.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting us.
