A call to friends & family- my life & work is rooted in being of service to humanity through sound, and I need hearing aids!

Six years ago, I asked for support for hearing aids, and that generosity made it possible for me to continue teaching and making music with care and clarity. Hearing technology, like any medical equipment, has a lifespan, and it is now time for a necessary upgrade. The cost for hearing aids at the best level for me is $7,000, and unfortunately this is not covered by insurance, nor are the medical appointments to get hearing aids.

As a professional musician and voice teacher, I help people sing with excellence, freedom, confidence, & musicality. My ears are not just part of my craft—they are essential tools I rely on every day in a thousand ways. I discovered I’m partially deaf just six years ago, but only in my vocal range, which is odd for someone who teaches people to sing. My intuitive creativity masked my deafness for the first 42 years of my life! Adding hearing aids to my ability to perceive without as much hearing is a game-changer.

Asking for help is humbling. My income as an artist in SF supports not only myself, but also my four children, ages 14, 16, 18, and 20. College tuition is no joke, and these hearing aids are a chunk-o-change, but it’s my creative efficacy that will change the most!
