Support Grace's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hello - my name is Emily Corby and I am a close friend of Grace's. Grace has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 (potentially Stage 4) metastatic breast cancer, and her life is shifting in unimaginable ways. She will undergo a minimum of 5 months of aggressive bi-weekly chemotherapy before surgery will even be an option, a year of immunotherapy and at least 12-18 months before remission will be considerable. As she begins this aggressive treatment plan—filled with chemotherapy, procedures, and ongoing medical appointments—her top priority remains creating stability for her family. Grace and her husband, Andrew, are loving parents to their 18-month-old son, Hayes, and are seeking support to keep him on a consistent daycare schedule while they navigate this difficult season. In addition to childcare, financial support will help ease the growing burden of medical bills, which are expected to be significant. Through it all, Grace remains committed to continuing her work at Helping Hands Humane Society as her health allows—because she truly loves her job and is passionate about the animals in her care. She is so thankful for the role her workplace has played in her life and the support they've given to her and her family - and is in acceptance that while she'd love to be there as many days and hours as always, that simply won't be a possibility with her journey ahead.
