Support Grace's Battle with Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome

My name is Amanda Simpson. My 17 year old daughter, Grace, was recently diagnosed with Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome. This is a rare illness that affects her joints, causing frequent joint dislocations, in her case, it is her upper ribs mostly and her shoulder. She also suffers from chronic pain and fatigue, and misses work and school often due to the pain. Her life has been turned upside down. I have watched my vibrant, ambitious daughter go from an active 17 year old, to one who struggles to get out of bed due to pain and being so tired.

She goes to the chiropractor frequently to get her ribs put back into place. This takes a huge toll on her body, as she is sore for days afterwards, and sometimes will fall back out the same day or soon after. We have reached a point that we are seeking more medical care than her primary care physician and chiropractors can provide due to this being such a rare illness and there not being much known about it.

We are hoping to raise funds to take her to a specialist that can help with pain management and help her live a normal life, but this is very costly so we are reaching out for help.
