Support Grace's Battle Against Lung Cancer

Donation protected
Grace has been a medical assistant for the past 25 years and was recently diagnosed with lung cancer last month. She is going to be undergoing a pulmonary procedure which will remove part of her lung as well as the larger portion of tumors. After this surgery, she will undergo chemotherapy for the remainder of the tumors in her lungs. Grace will have to take at least 1-1/2 months off of work, likely longer for recovery and chemotherapy. At this time, Grace has applied for FMLA as well as the Washington state short-term disability which does not pay for all of her medical and life needs. Right now, she has been estimated a $4000 bill for the surgery she is going to be having this month. After this, chemotherapy will likely cost at least another $4,000-$10,000.

Any financial donation would be greatly appreciated and will help Grace receive the medical care that she needs.

Based on the type of cancer Grace has been diagnosed with, it is easily treatable with the correct medical care and has a 10-year survival rate of 90%. This is fantastic and Grace will likely fully recover with the planned medical care. With the surgery, part of her lung is going to be resected and she will likely have continued struggles from the missing portion of her lung.
