I am raising funds for my little sister Grace Kane who was involved in a serious head on collision in the town of Brighton on Thursday, Jan 22nd. (For those of you who just know Glen and Sally, Grace is their youngest daughter) The man who hit her suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel and sadly did not survive. Our condolences go out to his family.
Grace's leg is shattered in several places, among other injuries and her road to recovery will no doubt be long and difficult.
Raising money for immediate needs for her and her husband due to lost wages and unseen bills that will surely arise.
Update January 29th
After close to 10 hours of surgery's and 6 days in the hospital, Grace went home yesterday. Praising the Lord for His goodness. The prayers and hedge of protection around her are so evident right now.
Her injuries included a mild concussion, fractured rib other superficial injuries but her right leg took the brunt of the damage. Her femer was shattered along with her ankle. She also has a large laceration on one knee cap and a hairline fracture in the other.
Surgeons put a rod in her broken femer which runs from her hip to her knee and she has tons of pins holding her ankle together.
She is currently in a full leg cast and it will be 10-12 weeks before she can put any weight on that leg.
Please continue to pray for her as the discomfort and restlessness are a challenge and that she would be protected as blood clots and infection are still a very real threat.
Also pray that this difficult time would draw her closer to God and that we would find peace by abiding in His tender mercy.
Thankyou so much for your prayers and support.
