Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of Ben Hamann, a loving 26-year-old husband, devoted father, and faithful Christian. Ben was taken from us far too soon on October 16, 2025, leaving behind his beloved wife, Grace, and their precious 5-month-old daughter, Bethany. As the cherished son of Scott and Kristen Hamann and brother to Alex, Nick, and Katie, Ben's faith and love touched everyone around him.
Ben was the light of their lives; a hardworking carpenter who poured his heart into his craft, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. Guided by his deep Christian faith, he lived with kindness, integrity, and a commitment to his family and community. Ben dreamed of raising Bethany in the love of Christ, teaching her to pray, and building a future filled with joy and adventure. Tragically, his life was cut short in a kayaking accident, and now Grace is navigating unimaginable grief while caring for their infant daughter alone.
We’re starting this GoFundMe to support Grace and Bethany during this heartbreaking time. The funds will help cover:
- Funeral and memorial service costs to honor Ben’s life and faith
- Lost income and daily living expenses
- Future needs for Bethany, such as childcare and education savings
Any contribution, no matter the size, will ease the financial burden and show Grace and Bethany they are not alone. If you’re unable to donate, please share this page with your network; your prayers and support mean the world.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. Let’s come together to honor Ben’s memory and wrap Grace and Bethany in love and support as they carry forward his legacy of faith.
With gratitude, Madison, Morgan, Nicole, and Shawn Huller
