Hello, my name is Grace Buckingham. I was recently readmitted to the hospital. I had to have emergency surgery on 5/14 to remove all ten of my toes due to infection.
The estimated recovery time is 4-6 weeks before I can put weight on my feet again. I was scheduled to return to work this week, but I don't know when my new start -date will be yet.
Due to my previous time spent in recovery, Luke and I had arranged a payment plan for the mortgage. This is now due on June 1st. I need help in order to get through the next few months while I get back on my feet (literally).
I so badly did not want to have to ask for help again, but I am not sure what else to do right now.
For those who do not know the full story, I will explain more below.

On February 9th, 2025 I was admitted to the ER because I had the flu and pneumonia, and couldn't catch my breath. I was intubated, but even that was not enough. By the morning, I was put on ECMO and dialysis in order to save my life. Due to prolonged use of vasocompressors to manage my blood pressure, combined with being on bed rest for over a month, my toes became necrotic due to lack of blood flow.
My care team saved my life and helped me regain my strength.
When I was sent home, it was with the hope that my toes would auto-amputate on their own. I was warned to return at the first sign of infection. We were just hoping that it would not be this soon.
Any help would be amazing and prayers are much appreciated.
Thank you all SO MUCH for the love you have shown to me and my family. I had no idea how many people cared. I thank God every day for each one of you.
