Help Us Through an Ongoing Legal Battle

I never imagined I would find myself asking for help like this. I have never created a fundraiser before, and it is incredibly humbling to reach out and ask others to help carry a burden I have been trying so hard to handle on my own.

I am currently living in Texas with my daughter, away from our family and support system. For the past year and a half, we have been navigating an extremely difficult and ongoing family-law case, and at times, it has felt like we are facing it almost entirely on our own.

Throughout all of this, I have continued working multiple jobs and doing everything I can to provide my daughter with a stable, loving home. She is my greatest priority, and every decision I make throughout this process is centered around protecting her stability and giving her the best life possible.

Unfortunately, the financial cost of this legal battle has been overwhelming. Over the past year and a half, my parents and I have spent more than/around $110,000 on legal fees and related expenses. Despite everything we have already invested, the case is still not over… It is now moving through the appellate process, with the possibility of additional court proceedings ahead.

I am praying that we are nearing the end.

Our initial fundraising goal is $25,000 -$30,000 to help cover the legal expenses that are still ahead of us. I wish I could say I knew exactly what the final cost would be, but with the case continuing, I simply don’t know….

As a single mother, carrying this financial burden while continuing to work and care for my daughter has been incredibly difficult. Any funds raised will go directly toward attorney fees, court-related expenses, and other costs associated with continuing this legal matter.

I know not everyone is in a position to donate, and I completely understand. If you are unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser, praying for us, or simply sending a word of encouragement is just as meaningful to me….

I am not asking because I want to—I am asking because I have reached a point where I need help carrying something that has become too heavy to carry alone….

My daughter deserves the chance to simply be a child—to have stability, peace, and a loving home without this ongoing legal battle hanging over our lives. I will continue doing everything within my power to give her that.
