Support Govinda's Battle Against Aggressive Cancer

Govinda is a kind and gentle soul. Many of you know him through his deep desire to inspire and help you have a better life experience through Astrology for the Soul. Some have had Life Readings, Geographical Readings, Relationship Readings, and so on. He has always put his heart and compassion into all of his work. And for him, it was never really work, it was and is his passion.

"We are born at a given moment in a given place, and like vintage years of wine we have the qualities of the year and of the season in which we are born." - Carl G. Jung

This has been quite a year for Govinda. First being diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2024 and now finding out that he has advanced and aggressive colon cancer.

In early August of this year, Govinda had his bladder scoped and we were told he was cancer free! We were so excited and grateful. A few days later, he was standing at the sink when he began to bleed. We immediately got him to the doctor's office who thought he might have an ulcer. His blood work indicated that he was severely anemic. The doctor thought it would be a good idea to have his stomach and colon scoped to find the source of the bleed. Again, we thought it was an ulcer.

When he went in for his colonoscopy, I was told that the procedure would only take 20 - 30 minutes. It took almost an hour and a half, so I knew there was a problem.

The doctor came in and told me that Govinda had a large mass half way up in his colon and that it was too large to remove. He said that Govinda was too frail and would not survive the surgery. The doctor said that they took biopsies and the results would be back in a week.

Three days later, in the middle of the night, Govinda began to hemorrhage, he fell and hit his head on the sink cracking his head open. I had to call 911 and they put him in an ambulance for a 70-mile ride to the hospital for a head CT-Scan to check for a brain bleed. There was none, so they stitched him up and I was able to bring him home.

Four days after that, we got the biopsy results. We were told that he has an advanced and very aggressive colon cancer. We were told there was nothing that conventional medicine could offer except Hospice care.

Anyone who has gone through this, knows how devastating this kind of news is. It took us a couple of weeks to work through the emotion of what we were told and to make other choices.

Govinda has decided to work with a naturalpathic physician and do a regimen of ivermectin, fenbendazole, Vitamin C IV's, etc. He is also doing chiropractic work, crystal bowl healing sessions, energy work, and whatever else he is guided to do. Unfortunately, none of these beautiful options are covered under insurance.

Last week, Govinda decided to get back to work and do some astrological readings. Something that lights him up. We had sent out a newsletter announcing that and two days later, my beloved, had a stroke that has affected his speech and cognitive skills. So, he is unable to continue his work.

We had to make some hard decisions that day, as to what to do. If he went on blood thinners, he could bleed out and die. If he did not go on blood thinners, he could have a major stroke and die. Obviously, he is between a rock and a hard spot. Govinda chose not to go on blood thinners. So, we are now taking it one day at a time.

In addition to all of this, I'm pretty sure that I have a ruptured disc in my lower back that is preventing me from being able to help Govinda the way he needs to be taken care of. Hospice helps to a certain degree, but now I need to find someone to come in and help me with the house cleaning, shopping and taking care of Govinda where I cannot.

I'm having an MRI on Saturday, October 4th, to find out what is going on in my spine and how to address this pain.

We are taking it one day at a time now. Enjoying every moment we have together and being grateful for all of the blessings in our lives. We have had a good life and we enjoy sitting on the porch with our chai teas celebrating our love for one another.

Govinda is such a precious soul who has done everything he could to be of service to God through astrology. Your support would be greatly appreciated during this time of great stress and sadness.

Here is a quote from Ram Daas in his book "Walking each other Home" - "We can see death as a gift. We don't usually see it this way, but awareness of death changes our lives fundamentally. It helps us know how to live."
