We are Dirty Martini Productions, a group of young adults who are involved in the local Phoenix, AZ queer and alternative scenes. We met each other working at a haunted house, and spent our time growing closer through nightlife (via haunting our local goth scene). We bonded over both a shared community and a shared passion for exercising our attraction to the Macabre through various forms of creative expression, art, and performance.

One night, over a phone conversation between future producers that began with discussing our recent growing frustrations and feelings of isolation within the community that we love and identify with, we felt inspired to channel our feelings into creating a vision board of one of our special interests (teeth).

This led us to ask ourselves one very important question: how does our passion for teeth relate to the horror behind realizing the community of “outsiders” which we hold dear, is actually (seemingly) infested with people who do not stand with the values their community claims to uphold- and what can we do to change that? That’s how Goth Bitches Bite Back was born!

This film is intended to act as both an answer to that question, and a project that celebrates and uplifts the hardworking and talented queer and alternative artists and entertainers that work hard to bring people like us together and give us a safe, joyful space to be fully and entirely ourselves.

Given that this is an indie project, our funding is entirely community/crowd sourced. Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly contribute to bringing our vision to life. We appreciate your support more than words can express. We love you!

Film Synopsis:

While getting ready for an event in the local alternative scene, a group of goths in their 20s discover a tooth necklace abandoned in the yard of their air bnb. After a tarot reading presents a formidable warning about the evening to come drama and violence ensues, and the group has reason to suspect this tooth may carry a nefarious presence. As the tooth’s evil energy takes hold, their friendship is tested and they find themselves in danger of losing their souls, their lives, or worse, their social status. They find that their reputation is only as strong as their teeth.
