Help Support Gordon's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, everyone.. we recently received devastating news that my step dad, Gordon, has esophageal cancer that has spread to his stomach (Adenocarcinoma). Unfortunately, it is terminal stage 4 cancer, and there is no timeline on how long we will have him here with us.

As you could imagine this is absolutely heartbreaking and a lot of you may know, Gordon is SUCH a special person in many lives. With 9 grandchildren throughout the family, he has made a great an impact on us all. One of our favorite things to do over the last 17 years with him, is taking his boat out fishing and creating some unforgettable memories. The bond he created with everyone has made this news absolutely shattering.

Because this has come up so suddenly, Gordon and my mom, Carmen, have had to take a leave from work and start chemotherapy immediately on July 31st. All the doctor appointments, check ups and time spent at the hospital has put a very big financial burden on them. With Gordons pain increasing, my mom is taking on the roll as his caregiver as of now and moving forward. This will also make their financial situation difficult.. they have already accumulated some debt since this has begun.

Our biggest ask is that my parents can be relieved of some of the financial stress that this situation has unfortunately caused. With his cancer getting increasingly worse, they already have so many obstacles to overcome. Asking for donations is never easy, but Gordon is truly so special to us and the thought of losing him is unbearable. To relieve him of some of the financial burden would mean so much to him. He has never asked for anything in all the years we have known him. He has been an incredible father and papa to say the very least.
