*Update* The day after this Go Fund me was created Gordon was admitted to the hospital. It was discovered that he had developed a 4th cancer, liver cancer, that was a complete surprise to us all. The cancer had advanced too much to treat and Gordon went to be The Lord this morning, Feb 27. Any money raised will now be used for his services and maintaining the doctor bills that have accumulated to this point.

Gordon Ray has been silently battling cancer since April of 2024. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer, colon cancer, and they found cancerous lymph nodes. He had multiple surgeries (and successful removed all cancerous lymph nodes and some abscess) to prepare him for chemo. He and my mom have been doing their best to manage financially since this time with the extremely expensive laundry list of medications he has required.

Gordon started chemo 6 months ago. We were hopeful that at the end of that 6 months the cancer would be gone and the financial burden would ease up.

Gordon has completed his chemo and just had his most recent follow up appointment where he learned one cancer shrank while the other got larger. As you can imagine this has just increased the med list, and he will now be switching from chemo to immunotherapy which will prolong the requirement of additional supplies, such as the very expensive liquid protein drinks from the doctor.

Gordon and my mom are both retired and living on retirement income. They have insurance which does help… but there is still a great deal of out of pocket expenses.

If you could find it in your heart to help them, at all, financially, as they face the next phase of this battle our family would be forever grateful. Gordon is a very humble and private man. He expected to be able to handle these things on his own without asking for help. He’s an amazing man… who deserves all the love and support he gets.
