We are Gorditas El Gordo, a small, family owned restaurant that has served the community for over 20 years. We are located on Lake Street in Minneapolis, an area where Hispanic-owned businesses have been deeply impacted in recent weeks.

For two decades, we’ve poured our hearts into serving homemade Mexican food with pride and hard work. Today, we’re facing one of the most difficult moments since opening our doors. Recent events across Minnesota have caused a sharp drop in business, and the challenges have been especially heavy for small businesses like ours on Lake Street.

With only one location and a small team, the strain is real. We created this GoFundMe to help cover urgent expenses such as payroll, rent, and supplies, and to support the people who show up every day to keep our restaurant alive.
