Goonj is an organization I had the privilege of working with this summer during my trip to India that specializes in providing clothes and care packages to regions needing support. Goonj’s central message of providing not only material assistance but also emphasizing maintaining dignity for those in need struck a chord with me and changed my perspective on philanthropy.

By not only solely giving physical goods but also building the foundations of stability and harmony in developing regions through their community activities they ensure the continued prosperity of those they aim to support. Goonj's unique system of using clothing and cloth supplies as a form of alternate currency works extremely effectively to ensure the well-being of developing communities. Based on my experience working with them, I can undoubtedly vouch that I have never seen a system so effective at not only enriching the lives of the people but their spirits as well.

Furthermore, I would also like to bring attention to Goonj's environmental assistance campaign Rahat, As you read, heavy rains continue to cause flooding and landslides in Bihar, Assam, and other parts of India There is an urgent need for essentials such as dry rations, mosquito nets, blankets, sanitary pads, general medicines, etc. Through your monetary contributions, Goonj can help provide resources for those greatly affected and help make an impact in this challenging time.
