In 2024, our small business faced a daunting challenge. The corporate fashion company Anya Hindmarch launched a collection that featured designs strikingly similar to ours, allegedly infringing on our trademark rights.

Fighting back has been extremely expensive, and Anya Hindmarch has tried to intimidate us by threatening to cancel our trademarks. Even with the help and generous support of our legal team, litigation still has huge costs that we have to pay out of pocket for, especially going up against a wealthy multi-million dollar global corporation like Anya Hindmarch, but if we have enough funds to fight back, we could create a game-changing outcome that could benefit so many other small businesses who might find themselves being ripped off.

This legal battle has severely impacted our ability to continue running Googly Eye Cru and has taken a great personal toll. We are fighting not just for our brand, but for the rights of all small businesses and independent designers who deserve protection from corporate infringement.
