Our father is one of the kindest, most outgoing people you could ever meet. He loves his family deeply, especially his grandkids, Reid, Hudson, Adam, Leon and Collin, who adore him just as much in return. He has always been the heart of our family.
Recently, our world was turned upside down.
While enjoying a day at the driving range, our dad suffered cardiac arrest and subsequently a serious fall and hit his head. Two off duty firemen performed CPR immediately and thanks to quick action, his life was saved. He was placed in sedation for three days in the ICU as doctors worked to stabilize him.
Though we are incredibly grateful he pulled through, his recovery has been difficult. He’s faced both physical and cognitive challenges and is working hard every day to adjust back into life. Unfortunately, doctors have told us that he will not be able to return to his line of work due to the extent of his injuries and ongoing recovery needs. He will not be able to perform work of any kind for some time during his recovery. Construction is the only line of work that he has ever known so once he recovers, finding another field of work may be challenging.
As you can imagine, the medical bills are overwhelming. Between hospital stays, rehabilitation, follow-up care, and necessary lifestyle adjustments, the costs are mounting—and it’s more than our family can manage alone.
We’re asking for your help.
If you are able to donate, any amount would make a difference. Your generosity will go directly toward covering medical expenses, therapy, and helping our dad transition into this new phase of life with the dignity and care he deserves.
Thank you for reading, and for supporting our amazing dad through this incredibly hard time. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with others means the world to us.
Sincerely,
The Goodman Family
